Barberino Val d’Elsa is a beautiful medieval village surrounded by the tuscan countryside between Siena and Florence. In an idyllic setting, just 3 km from the historical centre, we offer for sale a share of former stone barn of about 90 sqm, developed on two floors.
Skillful renovation with excellent finishes in Tuscan style.
On the ground floor is a large living room with kitchen and fireplace, a master bedroom and a bathroom. The first floor consists of two master bedrooms and two bathrooms (one of these is inside a bedroom). The house has a private garden, partly paved and partly green, and a loggia, an ideal place for summer lunches and dinners.
The property includes a shared swimming pool with stunning view and common area used for parking. Some historical notes: The history of this village is strictly related to the ancient town of Semifonte, completely destroyed by the Florentines in 1202 because it was regardered as a threat due to its power. Who manage to survive took refuge in Barberino and began reinforcing the walls with the stones of the castle demolished in Semifonte. So Barberino Val D’Elsa grew as an important market town thanks to its location at the crossroads of roads leading from north to south and from east to west. Near Barberino, you can find “Sant’Appiano Church” one of the most ancient church of the Chianti and also one of the most picturesque religious buildings, with stone colomns that rise in front of the facade.
